As of November 2020, more than 50% of psychiatrists in Palm Beach County, Florida also hold a federal X waiver to prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder treatment; this is the highest rate in a comparison of 24 large urban cities and counties with high rates of opioid overdoses.
