Seattle Coronavirus Assessment Network Resumes COVID-19 Testing
On June 10, 2020, the greater Seattle Coronavirus Assessment Network (SCAN) resumed testing of home-based, self-collected samples for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). SCAN launched in March 2020, but had been paused since May 12, 2020 when the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) informed SCAN that its home testing program had to take place as a study approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB), or under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
