Alabama Adds Medicaid Mobile Crisis Services
Alabama Medicaid is implementing a new state plan amendment (SPA) to provide mobile behavioral health crisis services. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved the SPA on November 20, 2023. The state anticipates that Medicaid reimbursement for mobile crisis services through the fee-for-service system will go live April 1, 2024.
