Alabama DOC Terminates YesCare’s $1.06 Billion Prison Health Care Contract & Selects NaphCare As Replacement
The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) ended its correctional health care services contract with YesCare two years early due to contract performance concerns. On April 23, 2026, ADOC announced it was executing a 24-month emergency agreement with NaphCare to provide inmate health services for the remainder of the contract term. The contract transition took effect on May 3, 2026. The value of the emergency contract has not been announced.
