Alaska Medicaid Behavioral Health Waiver Services Go Live
On May 21, 2020, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) Medicaid program launched the new behavioral health services proposed in its 1115 Behavioral Health Medicaid Waiver. All the new behavioral health services are live. The goal of the waiver is to increase access to behavioral health services across a continuum of care, to provide additional forms of revenue for provider organizations, and to align the state’s reporting and data collection with the requirements from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
