The prevalence of dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias in the United States is estimated at 6.9 million people in 2024, up 3% from 6.7 million in 2023. The annual cost of care is estimated at $360 billion, up 4% ($15 billion) from the estimated annual cost in 2023.
