Alzheimer’s Prevalence Reaches 7.4 Million U.S. Adults Age 65 & Older & Cases Projected To Reach 13.8 Million By 2060
An estimated 7.4 million Americans age 65 and older are living with clinical Alzheimer’s dementia in 2026. This represents approximately one in nine people (about 11%) of all older adults in the United States. In 2025, an estimated seven million Americans age 65 and older were living with clinical Alzheimer’s dementia.
The figures come from the Alzheimer’s Association’s “2026 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures,” a statistical resource compiled from currently available research and data on Alzheimer’s disease.
