74.1% Of Participants Sought Rent Support In A Medicaid Housing Support Pilot
About 74.1% of 517 participants in an Oregon Medicaid pilot to address health related social needs (HRSNs) needed temporary financial assistance to cover their rent costs, and 54.5% needed help paying for utilities. The pilot provided temporary rental assistance, housing navigation, and other supports, for up to 12 months. In addition to those who needed rent assistance or help paying for utilities, 42.3% needed help finding employment, 41.8% needed food assistance, 25.8% needed mental health services, and 23.6% needed help with transportation.The program had an average of $2,225 per member per month . . .
