Apple Launches New Apps For Health Care & Smart Home Markets
On June 2, 2014, Apple, Inc. announced the development of “HealthKit” and “HomeKit,” a group of mobile application programming interfaces (APIs) for the Apple iPhone iOS 8 that use the smartphone to collect and analyze health data and manage smart home devices. HealthKit is a platform that allows health and fitness apps to share information to help the user manage health and fitness.
