Arizona DCS Launches New LifeSet Intensive Mentoring Program To Support Foster Youth Transitioning To Adulthood
On February 14, 2024, the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) launched LifeSet, an individualized community-based intensive mentoring program for foster youth transitioning to adulthood. The program, provided through Youth Villages, is for youth aged 16.5 years through 20 years residing in DCS congregate care placements. LifeSet participants receive help securing housing; pursuing educational and employment goals; accessing medical and mental health services; and developing household management skills including cooking, shopping, and budgeting.
