Arizona Medicaid Awards Three Contracts For Total Health Coverage For Individuals With Serious Mental Illness
On November 15, 2021, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) awarded expanded regional behavioral health contracts to three AHCCCS Complete Care (ACC) health plans to provide integrated physical and behavioral health services to people who have a serious mental illness (SMI) designation. The awards expand the state’s existing ACC contracts with Mercy Care, Arizona Complete Health, and Care1st Health Plan Arizona, Inc. (Care1st).
