Arizona Medicaid Delays Implementing Next Managed Long-Term Care Contracts Due To Dispute
On September 12, 2024, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) announced it would delay implementing the next contracts for the Arizona Long Term Care System for Elderly and/or Physically Disabled (ALTCS-EPD) program. It will extend its current contracts with incumbents Banner-University Family Care, Mercy Care, and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan for one year, through September 30, 2025.
