On November 2, 2017, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) released a request for proposals (RFP YH19-0001) seeking bids from managed care organizations (MCOs) to provide integrated Medicaid physical and behavioral health services through a new program called Complete Care. The MCOs will serve the majority of Arizona’s 1.9 million Medicaid beneficiaries. The MCOs will serve adults who are not determined to have a serious mental illness (SMI), children, and members determined to have SMI who opt to transfer to the contractor for the provision of physical health services.
