Arizona Pauses Newly Updated Needs Assessment For Children With Developmental Disabilities

On October 15, 2025, the Arizona Medicaid program paused its use of a newly updated standardized assessment tool to determine the level of care and/or habilitation needed by children with disabilities served by either the Arizona Long-Term Care System (ALTCS) Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD-ALTCS) program or a health plan administering the ALTCS Elderly and Physically Disabled (EPD) program.
