On October 15, 2025, the Arizona Medicaid program paused its use of a newly updated standardized assessment tool to determine the level of attendant care and/or habilitation services needed by children with disabilities served by either the Arizona Long-Term Care System (ALTCS) Division of Developmental Disabilities program or a health plan administering the ALTCS Elderly and Physically Disabled (EPD) program. The tool was also intended to be used to assess children served through the Parents as Paid Caregivers (PPCG) program. Redeterminations for adults will continue.
