Average 3.7% Per-Person One-Year Weight Loss For Alaska Residents Participating In No-Cost Virtual Health Program With Omada Health
Alaska residents who participated in a virtual health program with Omada Health lost an average of 3.7% of their starting weight after a year. The participants were enrolled in the Omada Health Diabetes Prevention Program offered at no cost through the state Department of Health’s Fresh Start Campaign. The program enrolled 1,603 adults between December 2022 and early September 2024. Their average starting weight was 215 pounds, and over the one-year program, they lost an average of 7.7 pounds per person.
