Between 2023 and 2033, the annual job growth rate for behavioral health professionals in the United States is projected to be three times higher, rising by 12% compared to 4% for all occupations tracked by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Job growth for the subgroup of mental health and addiction counselors is projected to increase by 19%, making it one of the 20 occupations with the highest projected employment growth rate for the 2023 to 2033 period.
