Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation Launches National Program To Bolster Mental Health Diversion Initiatives
The Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation (BMS Foundation) announced the launch of a national grant program to support mental health diversion initiatives. The initial four grants support crisis response, community-based treatment, court-based intervention, and longer-term care coordination. The goal is to expand access to behavioral health services for medically underserved individuals and reduce incarceration and recidivism rates. The grants were awarded to four recipients: Judges and Psychiatrists Leadership Initiative (JPLI); Advocate Program; Dade County Street Response; and the Georgia Pines Community Service Board. The BMS Foundation did not release the grant amounts.
