California Awards $113 Million For Eight Community Care Expansion Grants To Create Supported Housing For People At Risk Of Homelessness
On September 10, 2024, the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) awarded eight Community Care Expansion (CCE) program grants totaling $112.8 million to create housing for people at risk of homelessness. The recently awarded CCE projects are located in the San Francisco Bay area, the cities of Sacramento, Los Angeles, and Bakersfield; and in San Diego County and Mendocino County.
