California Community Reentry Program For Parolees Has Lower Recidivism Rates For Men & For Women
Participants in California’s community reentry programs—also known as Enhanced Alternative Custody Programs (EACP)—have lower recidivism rates compared to those not participating in the programs, according to a new report from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). ECAP encompasses gender-specific Community Reentry Programs for men and women.
Recidivism rates were lower for those participating in the Male Community Reentry Programs (MCRP) and Female Community Reentry Programs (FCRP) than for those not participating in an EACP program, the report stated.
