California, Florida & Pennsylvania Lead The Nation In Assisted Living Capacity
California has more assisted living capacity than any other state, with 5,900 facilities that have combined capacity for a total of 127,000 residents, according to a new list from Caring.com. The state with the next highest capacity is Florida, with 2,400 facilities with capacity for 75,100 residents. Pennsylvania ranks third, with 1,000 facilities and total capacity for 62,900 residents.
