California Launches Prison Reentry Employment Program To Connect Inmates To Secure Job Offers
On June 24, 2024, California launched a prison reentry program at the state prison in Solano County to connect incarcerated individuals with employers so they can secure job offers prior to release. The program relies on the Entry to Employment (E2E) network. It is a partnership with the California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA), the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), the California Employment Development Department (EDD), and Geographic Solutions, which provides the software supporting the E2E employer matching tools.
