Cancer Cases To Jump 77% By 2050 Worldwide, Driven By Lifestyle & Environment
In 2022, there were an estimated 20 million new cancer cases diagnosed worldwide, and 9.7 million total deaths due to cancer. By 2050, the number of cases is projected to increase by 77% to over 35 million new cases, with many of the cases due to lifestyle and environment factors. About 20% of people develop cancer during their lifetime, and about 11% of men and 8% of women die of cancer.
