Cannabis Use Among Individuals With Psychosis Increased After State-Level Commercial Legalization
Thirty-day cannabis use increased by 9.53 percentage points among individuals with psychosis after state-level legalization of commercial cannabis, according to a recent study. This is substantially larger than the 3.3 percentage-point increase observed in the general population after legalization. The difference in post-legalization use is cause for concern, but it is unknown whether this will translate into negative health consequences, the researchers wrote.
