Centene’s Washington Subsidiary Wins Statewide Apple Health Foster Care Contract

On August 24, 2015, the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) announced it had selected Coordinated Care of Washington, a Centene company, for a contract to develop and implement Apple Health Foster Care, a new statewide Medicaid managed care program for children and youth in foster care and foster care alumni up to age 26 who aged out of foster care. The contract is slated to begin in November 2015. The potential contract value was not released.

HCA released the Apple Health Foster Care request for proposals (RFP 15-002) on May 7, 2015 seeking bids from its current Medicaid . . .
