Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Filings Highest In 15 Years For Health Care Sector
During the first quarter of 2024, the number of Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings in the health care sector were at a 15-year high. During the quarter, about 12.17% of all Chapter 11 filings involved entities in the health care sector, such as senior living organizations and physician practices. By comparison, 11.19% of Chapter 11 filings were in the real estate sector.
