Child Mortality Rates In the United States Increased Between 2021 & 2022

Among children ages 1 to 4 years, the mortality rate increased by 12% between 2021 and 2022, rising from 25.0 deaths per 100,000 population in 2021 to 28.0 in 2022, according to data from the National Vital Statistics System.
