Dave Thomas Foundation Partners With Children’s Home Society In North Carolina On Adoption Improvement

The Children’s Home Society of North Carolina (CHS) is partnering with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (Foundation) to improve permanent placements for youth in foster care ages nine through 21. To support the improvements, the Foundation awarded CHS a two-year grant valued $2.4 million that runs through June 2019. With the funding, CHS will hire 42 new adoptive family recruiters statewide. The recruiters will implement the Foundation’s child-focused recruitment model called Wendy’s Wonderful Kids (WWK) in each region of the state.
