‘Choose Medicare Act’ Introduced To Create ‘Part E’ Opt-In Program For Individuals & Employers
On June 16, 2025, two U.S. House Representatives, Jimmy Gomez (D-California) and Don Beyer (D-Virginia), introduced the Choose Medicare Act, which would establish a Medicare “Part E” option for public and employer opt-in. If signed into law, the plan would be available for adults below retirement age through health insurance marketplaces. Those choosing a Part E plan would be able to use Affordable Care Act (ACA) financial assistance for premium payments.
