CMS Adds Behavioral Health Facilities As ‘Essential Community Providers’ For Marketplace Plans
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is adding behavioral health facilities as Essential Community Provider (ECP) organizations for Qualified Health Plan (QHP) marketplace plans for the 2024 health insurance plan year. The change is part of the provisions finalized in the 2024 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters Final Rule, filed on April 19, 2023, and published in the Federal Register on April 27, 2023.
