CMS Adds Nursing Home Compare Website Alert To Warn About Violations
On October 23, 2019, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) added an alert to the Nursing Home Compare website to warn users if a nursing home has been cited for incidents of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. The goal is to help consumers and caregivers better compare the quality of nursing homes for themselves or loved ones.
The new alert icon will be added to any facility cited on inspection reports for one or both of the following:
Abuse that led to harm of a resident within the past year’s most recent survey cycle. This will include abuse . . .
