On October 26, 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved a 10-year extension for the Indiana Medicaid Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) 2.0 Waiver. The final HIP 2.0 and substance use disorder/serious mental illness (SUD/SMI) Waiver Extension was submitted to CMS by the state of Indiana on January 31, 2020. The waiver extension requested to continue HIP, as approved and operating in Indiana currently, through 2030 beginning January 1, 2021, and to incorporate an HIP Workforce Bridge amendment into the renewed program.
