CMS Approves Moving The Healthy Texas Women Demonstration Waiver From Fee-For-Service To Managed Care, With A Five-Year Extension
On June 27, 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) renewed the Healthy Texas Women (HTW) federal Medicaid demonstration waiver through June 30, 2030. CMS approved the state’s plan to move the program from fee-for-service to managed care. The announcement did not provide details about the managed care transition.
