CMS Approves Pennsylvania Behavioral Health Choices Rates

On March 26, 2014, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW) received approval letter from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for new rates for Pennsylvania’s HealthChoices Behavioral Health Program. The letter approved the rates for HealthChoices Behavioral Health contracts with county governments and joinders effective beginning July 2012 up through and including June 30, 2014. HealthChoices is Pennsylvania’s Medicaid managed care program.

The CMS approval affects the following behavioral health HealthChoices contracts:

2012 behavioral health contracts and amended capitation rates effective July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013 with the counties in the Lehigh/Capital . . .
