CMS Preparing To Accept State Applications For The $50 Billion Rural Health Transformation Program
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is preparing to release application materials in mid-September for the $50 billion Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) established in House Resolution 1 (the budget reconciliation bill also known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act), according to the RHTP webpage. RHTP funding of $50 billion will be allocated to approved states over five fiscal years, with $10 billion of funding available each fiscal year, beginning in fiscal year 2026 and ending in fiscal year 2030.
