CMS To Allow PACE Program Use of Mobile Clinics & Telehealth

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued guidance outlining strategies that states and Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) organizations can use to expand PACE into rural and frontier communities. The July 22, 2026 memo addresses the use of mobile clinics, telehealth, workforce partnerships, regulatory waivers.

CMS confirmed that PACE organizations can use mobile clinics as Alternative Care Settings (ACSs) to extend services into rural communities.
