On February 28, 2022, the Biden/Harris Administration announced that the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will increase oversight of nursing homes. The planned changes include new standards for staffing and rooming requirements, as well as increased performance measurements and the use of value-based reimbursement.
