The American Rescue Plan Act Of 2021 (ARP) includes a 10 percentage point increase to federal matching funds for Medicaid home- and community-based services (HCBS). Through March 31, 2024, states can use the additional funding for HCBS services and for HCBS-related administrative activities. Appropriate administrative activities include developing No Wrong Door HCBS intake systems, training, and implementing information technology to support HCBS administration.
