Colorado Moves To Daily PPS Payment For Comprehensive Behavioral Health Providers
Colorado Medicaid has changed its reimbursement methodology and certification requirements for outpatient behavioral health safety net provider organizations. Under this new reimbursement methodology, organizations approved by the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) as Comprehensive Behavioral Health Providers receive a daily payment via a prospective payment system (PPS).
The community mental health center (CMHCs) license no longer exists, and all of the state’s CMHCs must transition to one of two new certifications by December 31, 2024.
