Colorado Updates Medicaid Rules & Eases Regulations On Assisted Living Residences
On May 28, 2025, Colorado Governor Jared Polis signed legislation that includes provisions to protect the state’s long-term care industry, specifically assisted living residences, by easing regulations that affect how the residences add capacity. The legislation also includes provisions to improve access to Medicaid enrollment and streamline billing and review procedures. The legislation, House Bill 25-1216 (HB25-1213), goes into effect 90 days after the General Assembly adjourned its 2025 session on May 7, 2025. ;
