On June 16, 2021, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont signed Public Act 21-55 (previously Senate Bill 795 of 2021) into law, which allows residents to use all forms of virtual communication, including in-room video technology to communicate privately with loved ones and electronic monitoring.
