Consumption Of Ultraprocessed Foods May Cause More Than 14% Of Preventable Premature Deaths In The United States 

Consumption of ultraprocessed foods (UPFs) is estimated to be the cause of 14% of the 906,795 premature deaths of people between the ages of 30 and 69 years old in the United States from 2017 to 2018, according to a recent study of nutritional patterns in eight countries.
