Court Orders Florida Medicaid To Update Its FQHC Reimbursement Formula To Accommodate A Broader View Of Scope Expansion
A recent appeals court ruling directed the Florida Medicaid program to revise its reimbursement formula for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) that expand the FQHC scope of services. The new formula must account for any expansions to the FQHC scope of services, not only when the FQHC adds an entirely new service, which is the state’s current practice.
