Connecticut Developmental Disability Group Home Provider REM To Exit State Contract
On August 22, 2014, REM Connecticut Community Services, a provider organization operating 34 group homes for individuals with developmental disabilities, notified the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS) that it intended to exit its contract. As of September 16, 2014, DDS and REM were in the process of determining an end date to ensure that housing and services for the group home residents would not be disrupted, and that as many employees as possible would be able to transition with the consumers they support.
