Delaware Seeks To Overturn 9,500 Drug Convictions
On May 1, 2014, the Delaware Public Defender’s Office filed 112 motions to overturn drug convictions between 2010 and February 2014 after widespread tampering and thefts at the state's drug testing lab were revealed. Up to 9,500 convictions could be reversed, and more than 3,700 pending drug prosecutions in Delaware courts could be dismissed.
