Denver Asks Landlords & Builders About Barriers To Housing People With I/DD
The Denver Human Services (DHS) Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Equitable Access to Services (IDDEAS) Program contracted with a non-profit organization, The Kelsey, to identify landlord and builder concerns about creating affordable housing for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). The contract was announced on March 26, 2024, and The Kelsey began surveying landlords and builders om Febriaru. A final report is anticipated by June 2024, and the findings will be presented at the June 25 IDDEAS Advisory Council meeting. IDDEAS hopes to understand challenges, barriers, or stigmas inhibiting Denver landlords and builders from including people with I/DD . . .
