Department Of Veterans Affairs Reports Increase In Number Of Veterans Housed During 2025
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) permanently housed 51,936 homeless veterans across the country in fiscal year 2025, an increase of 4,011 from 47,925 veterans housed in fiscal year 2024, according to a recent announcement. The VA defines permanent housing placements as apartments or houses to rent or own, often with subsidies to make the housing more affordable.
