Diabetes Death Rate Declines 6.9% Between 2022 & 2024

The number of deaths in the United States attributed to complications of diabetes declined by 6.9% between 2022 and the end of 2024, according to death certificate data for the third quarter of 2024 reported to the federal government. The death rate declined from 30.4 deaths per 100,000 people from January to December 2022 to 28.3 per 100,000 people from October 2023 to September 2024.
