Digital Cognitive Behavioral Therapy More Effective Than Medication Therapy For Insomnia Treatment
Digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (dCBT-I) is a more effective treatment than medication according to a comparison conducted using the Good Sleep 365 mobile dCBT-I app. The comparison looked at change in Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scores over six months for 4,052 people in China. The PSQI is a self-report questionnaire that assesses sleep quality over a one-month time interval; a declining score indicates better sleep.
