DC Is Rebidding Its Medicaid Health Plan Contracts; Behavioral Health Service Added To Benefits
On November 19, 2021, the District of Columbia (DC) Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) released a request for proposals (RFP Doc578403) to rebid the district’s Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) contracts to include all levels of behavioral health services. This addition moves intensive community-based mental health and addiction treatment services into the managed care program. Currently these intensive services are carved out of the MCO contracts and provided through the fee-for-service program.
