UnitedHealthcare Selected To Manage The District Of Columbia’s Dual Programs
On February 16, 2022, the District of Columbia Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) announced it selected UnitedHealthcare to administer the district’s new Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) called District Dual Choice. UnitedHealthcare will initially serve approximately 12,300 District Dual Choice program enrollees—and another 39,000 people in the District are eligible to voluntarily enroll in the D-SNP. The contract runs from February 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022, followed by four one-year renewal options.
